Heat Treat Technician

Foundry - Heat Treat


Duties and Responsibilities:


Wear all PPE required
Follow all Safety Guidelines
Keep area neat, clean and safe
Achieve and perform all job requirements in Heat Treat Level 1
Basic computer skills
Able to read and understand he heat treat work instructions
Able to choose the correct oven program (recipe)
Able to use the controller at the oven and from a computer
Start the ovens and roll out when required
Lift tip up oven roof when required
Able to understand when the oven needs to cool down and then run out
Operate quench fans when needed
Know when to start second oven cycle
Able to use temperature guns safely and proficiently
Follow all instructions directed by team leads and supervisors
Education: High School Diploma or GED

Standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping
Lifting, pushing, and pulling <75> Occasionally:
Overhead work
Climbing ladders or stairs
Driving forklifts
Operating cranes
