About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience License: Valid Registered Nurse Licensure in California Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: EPIC experience Description: Located in a 34-bed Emergency Department with patients of all ages and diagnoses. The facility is a basic ED level 3 semi/stroke receiving center with a patient ratio of 4:1 and does not accommodate trauma cases. Responsible for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care. Includes direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area. Candidates must hold a valid California RN license, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Experience with EPIC charting is required. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in various emergency scenarios, including but not limited to abdominal pain, asthma, burns, drug overdose, respiratory infections, and trauma care. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Preferred familiarity with interdisciplinary support services, including physical therapy and pharmacy. Flexibility to work weekends and the ability to manage patient care effectively are necessary.
