Shipping & Receiving SpecialistLocation: Sarasota, FL Pay: $22–$25/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (occasional OT) Type: Full-Time, On-SitePosition OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to take ownership of a critical function within a growing precision manufacturing environment. This role goes beyond basic shipping and receiving—it requires strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety, and thrives in an independent, hands-on role.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all shipping and receiving activities, including packing, labeling, and processing shipments (UPS/FedEx)Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy, and distribute to appropriate departmentsPrepare and track purchase orders for outside vendors (heat treating, plating, etc.)Monitor vendor orders, follow up on timelines, and ensure timely returnsCount and verify parts from production and coordinate with Quality ControlMaintain accurate records and documentation using internal systems and Microsoft OfficeRespond to internal and customer inquiries regarding order statusAssist with organization and workflow across departments as neededQualifications5+ years of experience in shipping & receiving or a similar roleStrong attention to detail and accuracy (this role requires a high level of precision)Comfortable working independently and managing priorities without constant directionProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook required)Experience with QuickBooks or similar systems preferredStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work with numbers, data, and inventory counts accuratelyProven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentWhat We're Looking ForSelf-starter with a strong work ethicOrganized and proactive problem-solverComfortable communicating across multiple departmentsSomeone who takes ownership and follows throughPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 40 lbsAbility to stand and move throughout the dayHands-on, active role (not a desk job)Benefits (Once Hired On)Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchAnnual bonus opportunity based on performanceStable, team-oriented work environment
