That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader. Pay Rate $24.64 / Hour Job Schedule Day Time – Mon 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and or Allied Universal leadership as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor requirements in accordance with site protocols, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and suspicious behavior. Support access control, alarm response, and other security‑related duties while working in environments and conditions that may vary across the location. Minimum Requirements A minimum of 1 or more years of security‑related experience is required. An active DoD Secret Clearance is required. A guard card/license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. CPR/First Aid is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
