Electronic Security Technician
Petersburg, Virginia Contract to Hire May 7, 2026
Job title: Electronic Security Technician Location: Petersburg, VA Pay range: $25-28 Starting ASAP
Job Responsibilities:
- Install cabling and card readers, mount equipment, door contact and strikes, intrusion detection, CCTV equipment, and access control systems
- Possess a functional understanding of low voltage systems and relays
- Use diagnostic equipment/software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate equipment failures and resolve performance issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma and/or equivalent vocational training preferred
Current DCJS registration and/or ability to obtain
Minimum 2 years of experience in the electronics field, with commercial Access Control, and CCTV
Technical background in CCTV / IP Video Systems, Access control Platforms, Intrusion Systems, and Low Voltage Electronics (5V-56V)
