Electronic Security Technician

Petersburg, Virginia Contract to Hire May 7, 2026

Job title: Electronic Security Technician Location: Petersburg, VA Pay range: $25-28 Starting ASAP

Job Responsibilities:

Install cabling and card readers, mount equipment, door contact and strikes, intrusion detection, CCTV equipment, and access control systems
Possess a functional understanding of low voltage systems and relays
Use diagnostic equipment/software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate equipment failures and resolve performance issues
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

High School Diploma and/or equivalent vocational training preferred

Current DCJS registration and/or ability to obtain

Minimum 2 years of experience in the electronics field, with commercial Access Control, and CCTV

Technical background in CCTV / IP Video Systems, Access control Platforms, Intrusion Systems, and Low Voltage Electronics (5V-56V)
