Spanish Teacher

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a Long Term Substitute Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at an independent school in Providence, RI.

Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:

• Teach several Spanish courses at various proficiency levels for middle or upper school students.
• Collaborate with world language department staff to improve and expand curriculum.
• Teach Spanish language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods.
• Organizing fun events where students can showcase their Spanish language skills.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
• Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education.
• Serve as an advisor to students, providing guidance and support to ensure student success.

Spanish Teacher Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven written and verbal proficiency in Spanish.
• 2-3 years of previous teaching experience.
• No teaching license or credential is required.
• Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community.
• Willingness to assist with extracurricular and school community activities.
