Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing construction/service organization seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, and project analysis. This individual will work closely with leadership and operations teams to ensure accurate financial data, support decision-making, and drive process improvements. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Analyze job costs, WIP schedules, project profitability, and revenue recognition. Prepare financial statements and support budgeting and forecasting efforts. Partner with project managers and operational leaders to monitor project performance. Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within construction, engineering, or project-based environments. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with job costing and WIP reporting preferred. Public accounting foundation strongly preferred. CPA or CPA-track a plus. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
