Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and design-savvy Textiles & Showroom Manager to oversee our extensive boutique fabric library and manage daily front-of-house operations. In this role, you will act as the primary visual and operational anchor for our textile department, helping trade professionals navigate our luxury collections, curate fabric schemes, and execute bespoke orders.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep passion for luxury interior design, exceptional client relations skills, strong vendor management capabilities, and an eye for textile aesthetics (pattern, scale, color, and composition).

Key Responsibilities

Textile Department & Inventory Management

• Curate & Organize: Maintain, organize, and visually merchandise the fabric and wallcovering wings of the showroom to reflect our luxury aesthetic.
• Sample Control: Oversee the memo sample inventory process—including checking in new collections, archiving discontinued lines, and coordinating with our Sampling Specialists to fulfill client requests promptly.
• Brand Liaison: Collaborate with luxury textile manufacturers and suppliers regarding new product launches, stock availability, pricing updates, and technical specifications.

Client Relations & Sales Support

• Design Consultation: Provide expert guidance to interior designers and architects, assisting them with textile selection, custom colorways, scheme matching, and performance ratings for residential and hospitality projects.
• Quote & Order Management: Generate accurate quotes, process orders through our Q uickBooks system, and partner with the textile expediting team to track shipments and resolve logistics challenges.
• Showroom Operations: Act as a welcoming brand ambassador on the showroom floor, greeting clients, managing walk-in trade inquiries, and maintaining optimal visual standards.

Events & Brand Representation

• Market Events: Assist in hosting design industry presentations, product launches, and our regular "Third Thursday" educational events for local design professionals.
• Trend Tracking: Stay deeply knowledgeable about local Pacific Northwest design movements, global textile manufacturing trends, and sustainable material alternatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Textiles, Merchandising, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 3–5+ years of operational or sales experience in a luxury trade showroom, high-end furniture retail environment, or textile boutique.
• Textile Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of textile construction, fiber content, pattern scales, color theory, and fabric application (upholstery vs. drapery) preferred .
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Q uickBooks , inventory management systems, and standard business applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; a natural networker who excels at building lasting trade relationships.
