As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality service and experience for our residents. You will plan, prepare, and cook food items, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed. Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and cook food items in accordance with dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all sanitation and food safety protocols
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure menu planning and food preparation meet resident needs
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude, providing excellent customer service to residents and colleagues
- Previous experience in a kitchen
- Certificate or associate degree from a community college in culinary arts, cooking
- Food handling certificate from your state
- Knowledge of geriatric diets
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Capacity to work in a team
