Sysco is Urgently Hiring - Apply Now!\nBenefits:\n\n Earn $28.99 - $43.51 per hour*\n Up to $7,500 sign-on bonus*\n $600 annual tool allowance\n Outstanding benefits package\n An excellent full-time career with a stable and growing company\n Move your Career FORWARD with SYSCO FOODS!\n\n(*Based on experience)\nShift:\n\n Flexible shift schedule:\n 2nd Shift: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, with the standard 2nd shift schedule being 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM\n 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM or 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM\n Shift Differential: 2nd shift adds $2.00 per hour; 3rd shift adds $3.00 per hour\n\nFeed Your Ambition with Sysco - Apply Today!\nResponsibilities:\n\n Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment with in planned time tolerances to maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the life cycle of the fleet\n Perform FAI/CVI (Annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment in accordance with all federal, state and local legal and regulatory agencies. (Includes all state-required inspections and frequencies)\n Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, refrigeration units (reefer), lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment\n Perform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any company-owned equipment\n Perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis and repair to refrigeration units (reefer)\n Address all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely, and efficiently\n Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications including but not limited to engines, transmissions and clutches, drive-line, differential, steering and suspension, fuel and ignition system, exhaust systems (including regeneration systems), intake systems, electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC systems and lift-gate hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems\n Follow procedures including documenting all work performed on work orders\n Mentor, teach and share expertise with Fleet Technician I and II to aid in their development to positions of greater responsibility\n May perform moderate supervisory roles when Fleet Manager or Fleet Supervisors are not accessible\n Proficient in electrical meter testing\n Knowledge of controls and electrical systems (DC, low-voltage)\n Electric motor knowledge (DC)\n Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed\n\nQualifications:\nEducation\n\n High school diploma or GED\n Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, not required)\n\nExperience\n\n Medium/heavy duty truck technical training\n 2-year school and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair\n\nCertifications, Licenses, and Registrations\n\n Annual inspector certification knowledge, skills, and abilities\n Brake inspector certification knowledge, skills, and abilities\n ASE certifications; automotive or medium/heavy duty trucks\n EPA section 608 (Core & Type II) and 609 HVAC & refrigeration certification\n\nSysco is an Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.\n(*The pay range provided is not indicative of Sysco’s actual pay range but is merely algorithmic and provided for generalized comparison.
