Job DescriptionDewberry Design-Builders Inc. is seeking a Project Executive in the Richmond, VA area to support and help grow our design‑build practice across the Carolinas and Mid‑Atlantic. This role will focus on Dewberry’s Water/Wastewater division but will have the opportunity to expand into Energy, Federal, and MEPS infrastructure work in our growing Design-Build division. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll DoSupport business development and pursuit efforts, including proposal preparation and preconstruction coordinationLead construction planning, estimating, pricing, and execution for water/wastewater infrastructure projectsManage day-to-day project activities across design and construction phasesCoordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, field staff, and subcontractorsSupport subcontractor identification, procurement, and contract administrationReview project contracts and assist in managing subcontract agreements and change ordersPartner with HSE teams to promote safety best practices across projectsMonitor project performance, including schedule, budget, quality, and riskMaintain strong communication with clients, partners, and internal stakeholdersSupport collaboration across Dewberry offices and water practice teamsRequired Skills & Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field (preferred)10–15 years of experience in water/WWTP or related field involving construction of complex MEP intensive projectsExperience working on design‑build or alternative delivery projects is strongly preferredWorking knowledge of project management fundamentals including scheduling, cost control, and contract administrationExposure to subcontractor management and construction procurement processesCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to build relationships with clients and project partnersNice to HaveExperience with municipal or industrial water/wastewater facilitiesFamiliarity with regional subcontractor and vendor networks in the Carolinas or Mid‑AtlanticExperience supporting proposals or business development effortsDon’t meet every single requirement? Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
