Location: Tampa, FL, United States Looking to get the most out of your upcoming internship? Hatch is seeking a Mechanical/Piping Engineering Intern. Reporting to the Project Delivery Group, you will support offices globally working from our Tampa, FL office location. We’re entrepreneurs with a technical soul. Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale As The Successful Candidate, You Will Assist in preparing engineering calculations such as hydraulic modeling, stress analysis, equipment sizing and tank and ensuring that all analyses satisfy user and system requirements Prepare technical specifications based on input received Prepare data sheets based on input received Prepare and/or review project standard specifications and design criteria Prepare or provide input to 2D mechanical drawings Prepare and update engineering lists You Bring To The Role Understanding of inter-discipline requirements for the tasks at hand Strong interpersonal and communication skills Aptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teams Commitment to achieving engineering excellence Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems A desire to learn and continually develop Strong personal commitment to safety Previous co‑op or internship experience is an asset You Bring To The Role Ability to interact successfully with all levels of staff, clients, and vendors Available to travel, as needed, to help support global business Previous co‑op or internship experience is an asset Requirements For All Sectors To live our manifesto.
