Staff Product Manager (Semiconductor Systems)

Solon, OH, United StatesJob Overview:As a Staff Product Manager for Tektronix’s Semiconductor Test & Measurement Systems, you will lead portfolio strategy, roadmap direction, lifecycle management, and global product performance, for a semiconductor system products serving critical customer test and measurement workflows. This role combines deep customer engagement, market insight, and business leadership to identify growth opportunities, shape investment priorities, and deliver differentiated solutions. You will operate at both strategic and tactical levels—translating market needs into product direction, partnering closely with engineering and commercial teams, and driving measurable business results across the portfolio.Location: This role is based in Solon, Ohio. Exceptions may be considered for the right candidate.Travel: Up to 25% for customer visits, industry events, trade shows, and internal meetings.Responsibilities:Strategic Portfolio Leadership:Own portfolio strategy and lifecycle decisions across the Precision DC portfolio, from discovery and business case development through launch, optimization, and end-of-life planningSet and maintain a prioritized roadmap aligned to customer workflows, competitive dynamics, technology trends, and company strategyMake clear product tradeoff decisions by balancing customer value, technical feasibility, investment needs, and business returnOwn business performance for assigned product lines, including growth, margin, and portfolio healthCustomer and Market Insight:Engage directly with customers, partners, and field teams to understand workflows, pain points, and unmet needs in target applicationsCapture and translate voice-of-customer, market data, and competitive intelligence into actionable portfolio priorities and differentiated product requirementsIdentify emerging market opportunities, adjacent use cases, and competitive threats that inform roadmap and investment decisionsDevelop clear value propositions and positioning that connect Tektronix solutions to customer outcomesCross-Functional Leadership and Influence:Lead through influence across engineering, sales, marketing, applications, and operations to align priorities and deliver portfolio outcomesPartner with engineering throughout development to ensure solutions meet target customer requirements, performance expectations, schedule commitments, and business goalsWork with marketing and sales to define go-to-market plans, sales enablement, and launch readiness for new products and major updatesCommunicate strategy, priorities, and product direction clearly to stakeholders at multiple levels of the organizationProduct Discovery and Development:Lead product discovery to validate opportunities, assess customer value, and reduce risk before major development investments are madeDefine product requirements and success criteria that guide development teams toward differentiated, high-value solutionsDrive disciplined decision-making throughout development by balancing scope, schedule, technical tradeoffs, and expected business impactChampion innovation informed by customer applications, market shifts, and technology trends relevant to Precision DC test workflowsBusiness Performance and Portfolio Management:Monitor portfolio performance using revenue, margin, adoption, and other key business indicators, and adjust priorities as neededDevelop business cases and investment recommendations for new products, enhancements, and portfolio expansion opportunitiesIdentify opportunities to improve growth, mix, and profitability across the portfolioLead portfolio lifecycle decisions, including sustaining investments, rationalization, and end-of-life strategies for legacy productsSupport product operations activities such as product KPI tracking, forecasting, and revenue recognition through customer acceptance process.Live, practice, and champion a continuous improvement mindset and processes grounded on the Ralliant Business System.Custom System Configuration Support:Use margin analysis, regional pricing dynamics, and local competition insights to inform pricing globally.Work with account managers and applications engineers to develop system configurations upon customer requirements and provide customized quotes.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred5+ years of relevant experience in product management, product marketing, business development, engineering, or a related role, with meaningful experience in technical B2B productsDemonstrated success defining product strategy, roadmap priorities, and lifecycle decisions for complex hardware or hardware-software solutionsExperience translating customer needs, market signals, and competitive insights into differentiated product requirements and investment recommendationsProven ability to lead through influence across engineering, sales, marketing, applications, and operations in a cross-functional environmentStrong business acumen, including experience with business cases, pricing or positioning, revenue and margin analysis, and portfolio performance managementWorking knowledge of DC test and measurement instrumentation, semiconductor or electronics test workflows, or adjacent technical domainsWorking knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment market for wafer fabs preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders#LI-AG1Ralliant Corporation OverviewRalliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
