Registered Nurse Telemetry

Schedule: 12-hour Nights

Assignment Details:

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• High-risk telemetry experience (including post-op open heart)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management, cardiac drip management, central line management, sheath removal, post-op open heart care, and management of new tracheostomy
• Familiarity with BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tubes, and wound/VAC care
• EMR: Experience with EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer cardiac drips and manage central lines, including sheath removal.
• Provide post-operative care for open heart surgery patients and manage new tracheostomy patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to safety and healthcare regulations.

Compliance / Notes:

• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule)
• Floating within the service line to inpatient units may be required.
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Scrub color: Navy
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Maximum 7 days RTO without manager approval; no RTO allowed the first week.
• License in hand is required for submission in the relevant state.
