Service Manager

About The Role We’re looking for a Service Manager to lead our electrical service team. In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, support team development, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading teams, building strong customer relationships, and driving business growth. What You’ll Do Lead and support both office and field service team members Handle all aspects of team management including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management Oversee multiple projects at once, ensuring financial goals and quality standards are met Ensure safe work practices, efficient scheduling, and high-quality work across the team Review project quotes and progress to identify issues and ensure specifications are met Help grow the electrical service business through new and existing customer relationships Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams Recommend and sell electrical service solutions and upgrades Ensure proper permits are filed for service work Partner with accounting to support timely billing and collections What We’re Looking For Proven experience in selling and managing electrical service projects through completion Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and customers Financial management experience, including estimating and managing project budgets Strong organization and planning skills Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning industry-related software Valid driver’s license with a good driving record About Us Thompson Solutions Group is an employee‑owned company providing electrical, mechanical, automation, and technology solutions across the Midwest.
