Social Media Marketing Intern

Schedule 10-15 hours/week (Flexible around class schedule) Position Type Part-Time Internship (School Year) Preferred Class Standing Junior or Senior About Us Design AF is a luxury interior design firm with a growing family of brands, including The Design Center by Design AF and Design Center Dwellings . We're looking for a creative, organized, and motivated marketing intern to join our team and help bring our brands to life across social media and other marketing initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing student looking to gain hands-on experience in content creation, branding, social media strategy, event marketing, and creative campaigns. Responsibilities Manage and create content for three brand social media accounts, Design AF, The Design Center by Design AF, and Design Center Dwellings. Assist with planning, filming, editing, and scheduling social media content day-to-day Write engaging captions and collaborate on content strategy Stay up to date on social media trends and propose fresh content ideas Capture photo and video content during projects, events, and day-to-day office life Assist with email marketing campaigns and newsletters Help promote events, product launches, and company initiatives Support marketing projects including website updates, graphic design, print materials, and advertising efforts Assist with influencer partnerships and community collaborations Help maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels Provide general marketing and administrative support as needed Qualifications Current college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field Currently living in Knoxville, TN Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and current social media trends Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects Creative thinker with a strong eye for aesthetics and branding Extremely productive and efficient, willing to learn Comfortable using Canva, Capcut, and other content platforms Experience with photography and short-form video editing for Instagram is preferred Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment What We're Looking For Someone who loves social media and enjoys creating engaging content A positive, team-oriented attitude & strong willingness to learn and be involved in the business Strong organizational and time management skills Willingness to take initiative to jump in wherever needed and wear multiple hats Flexible scheduling that works around your class schedule Real-world marketing experience with multiple growing brands Opportunity to build a strong portfolio of social media and marketing work Hands‑on involvement in events, brand partnerships, and creative campaigns Mentorship and exposure to all aspects of marketing for a growing business Interested?
