Shipping/Receiving Clerk – 1st ShiftShipping/Receiving Clerk – 1st ShiftPlymouth, MN 55447$21.00-24.00/hrFullTimeJob DescriptionAbout the Opportunity: • Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk • Pay Rate Range: $21.00-$24.00/hr • Location: Plymouth, MN • Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM • Shift Details: Flexible 1st Shift Start Times, 5x8 hour shifts. • Position Type: Temporary: 3 Month Temporary Assignment with potential for temp-to-hire.Requirements and Qualifications: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus three years related Shipping/Receiving experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to other employees of the organization. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. • Forklift Certification required. • Must be able to operate forklift and overhead crane. • Must be able to lift 25 pounds 2/3 of the time and up to 50 pounds 1/3 of the time. • Must demonstrate working knowledge of computers, i.e. Windows. • Experience in ERP systems as well as basic knowledge of freight rates and discount systems is highly desirable.Duties and Responsibilities: • Shipping/Receiving Clerk is the front-line role for processing orders and rectifying inventory issues. • Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to processing incoming and outgoing shipments parts as assigned. • Completes and assists with special projects and other duties as assigned. • Maintain inventory integrity by performing cycle count activities and all other related functions. • Fill and issue orders and/or back orders to authorized personnel. • Housekeeping practices in the shipping and receiving areas. • Load trucks and UPS shipments. • Perform basic machine assembly when necessary. • Indicate routing and arranging for proper shipping procedures. • Operate forklift as required. • Abide by all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company including all safety practices and policies. • Adhere to the Company Core Values: Performance Driven, Quality in All We Do, Act with Integrity and Professionalism, Collaborative Continuous Improvement, Be Safe, and Impress the Customer. • Adhere to the Company CARE Initiative: Commitment, Accountability, Responsiveness, Effort. • Perform all job assignments as instructed by the Group Lead, Manufacturing Supervisor, Plant Manager and/or Vice President, Operations.
