Sr. Project Scheduler

Our client, a Pacific Northwest-based advanced energy technology company developing next-generation energy solutions, is looking for a Senior Project Scheduler . This contract role supports planning and scheduling activities for large-scale engineering and research projects, with a focus on developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, analyzing performance metrics, and driving effective project controls.
Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid) or Remote
Duration: 12 Months
Compensation: $69 - $115 per hour.
Additional Compensation: This position is not eligible for bonus or incentive compensation.

Summary:
The Senior Project Scheduler will develop, maintain, and manage integrated baseline lifecycle schedules for complex engineering and research projects. This role requires advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6, strong project controls experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will partner with cross-functional project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to integrate schedule updates, identify trends and risks, analyze project performance, and improve schedule management processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate schedule impacts and recommendations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain integrated baseline lifecycle schedules using Oracle Primavera P6.
• Update master schedules regularly and provide weekly progress reports, schedule layouts, and publications.
• Identify, analyze, and communicate schedule variances from approved plans and baseline snapshots.
• Evaluate project progress, performance trends, and developing risks to identify potential impacts.
• Process project change notices into P6 baseline and live schedules on a monthly basis.
• Analyze critical path activities, constraints, and schedule impacts to recommend solutions and protect key milestones.
• Support Primavera P6 administration activities, including maintaining data integrity, global code fields, baseline copies, and interfaces with other applications.
• Facilitate project review meetings and support project planning activities with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to improve schedule controls, reporting metrics, and project performance indicators.
• Integrate and validate schedule updates from teaming partners and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent technical field.
• Minimum of 10 years of project scheduling experience, preferably supporting research and development, engineering, and/or Department of Energy (DOE O 413.3B) projects.
• Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 and Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM).
• Experience with data analytics platforms such as Power BI or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders.
• High degree of integrity, openness, and commitment to teamwork.

Nice to Have:

• PMP, PMI-SP, or AACE certification.
• Experience with Atlassian collaboration tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Project Online.
• Experience supporting complex engineering, energy, government, or research programs.
• Experience with advanced project controls methodologies and performance measurement.
