Packaging Associate

Location: Honolulu, HI 96819 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Contract Duration: Approximately 12 weeks (2,160 total hours) Travel: None required

Job Summary: Our client, a leading fresh produce distribution company in Honolulu, HI, is seeking Packaging Associates to support daily warehouse packing operations. This is an entry-level, industrial labor position ideal for candidates with 0-3 years of relevant experience. No industrial equipment operation is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Pack and repack products according to company specifications
Measure, weigh, and count products and materials
Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools
Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools
Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met
Load products into package processing equipment
Mark and label containers, container tags, or products using marking tools
Obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders using hand tools
Place and/or pour products or materials into containers using hand tools and equipment
Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
Remove completed or defective products or materials from processing area

Required Qualifications:

0-3 years of relevant work experience
Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout an 8-hour shift
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow packing specifications
Basic math skills for measuring, weighing, and counting

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior warehouse, packaging, or production experience
Familiarity with hand tools used in packing and assembly
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

About the Role: This position is based on-site at a distribution facility in Honolulu, HI, with no travel required. The role offers consistent, full-time weekly hours and is well-suited for individuals seeking to build experience in the food distribution and logistics industry. Compensation is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process.
