Position Description

The Structures Foreman supervises and coordinates field crews performing structural work on heavy civil construction projects, including retaining walls, box culverts, headwalls, bridges, and other structural concrete elements. Reporting to the Trade Superintendent, this role ensures structural work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with plans, specifications, and quality requirements.

The Structures Foreman directs daily work activities, coordinates formwork, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement, and ensures workmanship meets DDM's standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

Position Requirements

• High School Degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil structural or concrete construction, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of formwork systems, rebar placement, concrete pours, and structural drawings.
• Ability to interpret plans, elevations, and structural details.
• Experience leading crews and coordinating subcontractors.
• OSHA safety knowledge, including fall protection and jobsite safety requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• High school diploma required; trade or technical schooling preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
