The senior members of our staff conduct interviews, but we also encourage recruits to contact members of our junior staff directly to get their perspective on the company. Mars & Co looks for high achievers as demonstrated by superior academic performance at leading universities and colleges. Mastery of a foreign language is not a requirement but is very useful. Our consultants are all expected to be skilled in the use of analytical techniques and to possess strong spreadsheet and database manipulation skills.

THE THREE ENTRY LEVELS AT MARS & CO

Successful AC candidates typically have undergraduate or graduate degrees (MA/MS) in engineering, mathematics, economics or one of the hard sciences, such as chemistry or physics. Qualified candidates are energetic and independent individuals with exceptional and demonstrable quantitative abilities, who can perform rigorous analyses, learn new industries quickly and work well as an integrated member of a project team. Successful SAC candidates typically have PhDs in engineering, mathematics, economics or one of the hard sciences, such as chemistry or physics. Alternatively, SAC candidates may have undergraduate or graduate degrees (MA/MS) in engineering, mathematics, economics or one of the hard sciences combined with significant, relevant work experience. Qualified candidates are energetic and independent individuals with exceptional and demonstrable quantitative abilities, who can perform rigorous and creative analyses with increased autonomy and initiative, learn new industries quickly and work well as an integrated member of a project team. Successful candidates for the Consultant position are generally expected to have earned their MBA from a top tier business school and to have had meaningful relevant business experience prior to graduate school. Most Consultant candidates have undergraduate degrees in engineering, mathematics, economics or one of the hard sciences. Consultant candidates must possess strong writing and presentation skills as well as superior analytical abilities. They must understand major business strategy concepts, and be insightful problem solvers. They are hard working, entrepreneurial, and self‑motivated individuals. Our interview process consists of several rounds designed for us to find out more about you, your skills, and your career ambitions. We achieve this through a combination of case studies and questions regarding your educational and professional experience.
