As a Full Time Office Specialist - Front Desk at Davis Behavioral Health, you'll have the vital role of providing exemplary customer service to both clients and employees. Your responsibilities will include efficiently gathering client and insurance information, as well as requesting, collecting, and processing co-payments right at the time of service. You'll convey all necessary details regarding client appointments while working within our electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy laws.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve answering phones, screening calls, and relaying messages to the appropriate sources. You'll also monitor the clinic lobby to ensure it remains safe, secure, and professional. Being knowledgeable about the crisis system is essential as well as managing group room scheduling and coordinating with other team members about appointments.

Your adaptability in performing various office operations will be key in supporting our commitment to excellence and customer-centric care.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a mandatory 30-minute unpaid lunch period.

To excel as a Full Time Office Specialist - Front Desk at Davis Behavioral Health, candidates must possess a unique blend of skills and experience. A minimum of two years providing exemplar customer service is essential, as is being at least 18 years old. Successful applicants must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening, adhering to federal drug laws, including restrictions on medical marijuana use. Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated professional customer service experience are vital, alongside the ability to show compassion and respect to clients and their families. Exceptional interpersonal skills will enable you to establish immediate rapport with clients, while the capacity to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or crisis situations is critical. Basic cash handling skills are required to accurately accept payments and provide change.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools is necessary, as is the ability to work independently, maintain client confidentiality, and foster effective working relationships. Spanish speaking skills are a valuable bonus.

Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. Further, all employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as part of DBH's licensing agreement with the State of Utah. Failure to pass either screening will result in the termination of any job offer submitted and/or employment for any individual who has started employment while the criminal background screening is in process.
