Mercedes-Benz Stadium is part of AMB Sports & Entertainment, which also includes the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United.Position SummaryWe are hiring for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager and assist in the day-to-day and month-end accounting for Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Additionally, s/he will assist in the completion of the Company's annual audits and on various special projects. S/he will provide strategic support to the finance team and management including process documentation, controls implementation, treasury management, and other requested projects.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the estimate, settlement, accounting, and reporting for stadium eventsPrepare general ledger entries by maintaining relevant records and filesAssist in the preparation of account reconciliationsMonth end and year end close responsibilitiesAssist finances team with annual financial auditsEffectively communicate issues and errors to managementComplete ad hoc analysis and other projects as assignedQualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree in AccountingInterest and/or experience with stadium/entertainment accounting and reporting a plusPublic Accounting or Corporate Accounting experience a plusGreat Plains, Concur, and Vena experience a plusRequired SkillsUse of good judgment, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative styleDemonstrate high integrity, tact, and a positive attitudeStrong communication, time management, and organizational skillsProficiency in decision making, analysis, and entrepreneurial strategic thinkingDemonstrate ability to be a value-added business partner with peers and senior executivesStrong Excel skills and Windows-based finance system knowledgeProven ability to concurrently perform multiple assignments and manage projects on strict deadlines under pressureMust be able to maintain confidential informationMaintain flexibility in work schedule to support events as neededSalary and BenefitsEligible for season tickets to Atlanta United and Atlanta Falcons gamesOccasional access to additional third-party events and concertsCompetitive health benefits and 401k packageFlexible schedule including work from home opportunitiesThree weeks of vacation plus additional company and flex holidaysAnd more!
