Environmental Service Business Leader

Overview Environmental Services Business Leader role located in Asheville, NC. This position may be hybrid with opportunities to work in other North Carolina-based offices. Responsible for growing our Environmental Services footprint in North Carolina and serving the Southeast environmental consulting market. Travel is limited, estimated up to 25%. Responsibilities Grow presence in the North Carolina ES practice, including due diligence, assessment and remediation, Brownfields, utilities, manufacturing, industrial compliance, and real estate markets, and service existing SCS ES clients. Manage and drive profit and loss for North Carolina projects and pursue profitable expansion of the ES staff in North Carolina. Develop and lead a team of ES professionals to support growth while overseeing business development, project and people management. As a Seller: lead new client acquisition, collaborate with colleagues to expand services for clients, draft and review proposals, and enhance service value for existing clients. As a Doer: work with a team of professionals to resolve environmental challenges including groundwater monitoring and reporting, hydrogeologic investigations, Phase I/II ESAs, soil and groundwater remediation, brownfield redevelopment, environmental compliance, permitting and reporting, and related services. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an environmental-related science or engineering field. 12+ years of related work experience. North Carolina environmental and/or engineering experience. Business development experience in the North Carolina market. North Carolina Registered Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. Valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing. Pay Range USD $115,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
