Job Description Job Description Medical Collector ONSITE Location: Phoenix, AZ 85008 Monday through Friday | 7am – 4pm Compensation will range between $21-$24 per hour, dependent on experience. 5 years or more of RECENT Medical Insurance and Patient Collections experience Key Responsibilities: Working Medical insurance and patient collections from Commercial and Medicaid payers, inbound and outbound calling Review aging reports and unpaid claims while monitoring activity, rebill claims as needed Discuss outstanding balances, options available, set up payment plans and review negotiations Contact insurances to follow up on payments and discuss resolution Responding timely to claims denials, exceptions, or exclusions Follow up on claims that are outstanding and working both denials and appeals Consistently staying up to date with changes in Medicare, Medicaid, and Private insurances Additional medical collections duties as needed or assigned Role Qualifications: High school diploma REQUIRED – 5 or more years of recent experience in Medical Insurance AND Patient Collections Heavy experience in Medicaid/Medicare (any states) Knowledge of working medical claims and reimbursements Familiar with medical terminology with ability to analyze data efficiently Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task Ability to work individually and collaboratively Highly detailed and sense of urgency Strong customer service skills while being highly professional Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
