Water/Wastewater Engineer in Training

Position Overview Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Training. The focus will be on water/wastewater projects including supply, conveyance, treatment, and disposal. Responsibilities Support field investigations or assessments. Perform design engineering calculations. Assist in the design of various types of water and wastewater infrastructure. Provide data collection, analysis, and reporting. Participate in writing and production of project reports. Take direction, guidance, and mentorship of senior engineers. Advance a project from inception to construction, through various stages of design and construction by adhering to timeframes and deadlines. Essential Job Requirements Willing and able to travel to project sites as necessary. Practical and technical written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to work in and support a team environment. High level of independence, confidence, and strong work ethic. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to apply fundamental engineering principles. Familiarity with engineering software for design and analytical analysis. Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles focused around hydraulic and environmental engineering concepts. Familiarity with development of technical reports, engineering plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Required Qualifications BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field (Masters of Science preferred), from an EAC/ABET‑Accredited college or university. EIT Certification (passed or ability to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam). Ability to obtain a Professional Engineering (PE) License following completion of required work experience. Wilson & Company does not sponsor applicants for work visas. Salary Annual salary range: $75,000+ depending on experience.
