What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, public officials, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to enforce entry procedures for employees, contractors, and/or visitors, verifying credentials and reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Support public health and administrative operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and assisting with security-related concerns in accordance with local laws and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
