# Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: November 9, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (nights), every other weekend required, floating to similar units as needed, call required if called off on pre-scheduled shift, patient ratio 1:6 Highlights:

• 13-26 week contract available with 24-hour orientation period
• Chemotherapy certification preferred or willingness to obtain ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration certification (facility provides onsite training and support)
• Free access to oncology and chemotherapy education courses, many eligible for CEUs through Cancer Institute affiliation
• General medical-surgical patient population with focus on chemotherapy and biotherapy administration (IV, PO, and injection)
• EMR system: Epic, Pyxis medication system, SBAR communication protocol
• First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of inpatient experience required

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient nursing experience in medical-surgical setting
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration certification preferred, or commitment to obtain prior to or during assignment
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience with accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, isolation precautions, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Willingness to float to similar units and alternate care locations including inpatient holding areas
• Availability to work Storm Team/Hurricane Team assignments and report during catastrophic events or disasters
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
