Preschool Assistant Teacher

Job Description

The Full-Time Assistant Teacher will support the preschool classroom environment by assisting the lead teacher in fostering a positive, Christian-based learning experience for young students. The assistant teacher will help manage a class size of 10-20 children, providing support in daily activities, classroom management, and behavior monitoring, while maintaining strong communication with the lead teacher and contributing to a collaborative educational setting.

Responsibilities

Support the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
Supervise and monitor student behavior to maintain a safe and positive environment
Assist students with activities and learning tasks to encourage development
Help manage classroom logistics and maintain order throughout the day
Communicate effectively with the lead teacher about student progress and needs
Contribute to upholding a Christian-based educational atmosphere

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in education support
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of classroom management techniques
Understanding of child development principles
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Organizational skills to assist in classroom management
Pastoral reference and regular church attendance
