Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, TN is looking for one host/hostess to join our 136 person strong team. We are located on 12284 N Fox Den Drive. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

Position Summary:

Provides members a point of contact for all food and beverage service. Assists with the management of the day to day operation of all dining and all Club Events and banquets. Assists with the management of the Food and Beverage service staff. Greets members and their guests in the dining room and at all club functions; Maintains order and cleanliness of all Club facilities daily; Assures that member/guests satisfaction standards are consistently attained.

Essential Responsibilities:

As a Host

• Greeting customers and making them feel welcome
• Estimating wait time for guests
• Participate in the set-up of Tackett’s, Legends, Ginty’s, and Banquets.
• Takes calls for reservations, answers phone, directs to go service requests.
• Greets / seats members and distributes menus if not already on station.
• Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
• Checks back to ensure member satisfaction.
• Knows all menu items including specials, buffets and prices.
• Assures all tables are set-up properly.
• Keeps tables, dining room and wait station areas clean.
• Advises manager of any complaints as soon as they occur.
• Performs clean-up and closing duties. Turns in closed check report and checks with manager.
• Attends line up meetings before each shift.

• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Strong organizational and motivational skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• This position requires one to have an acute knowledge of service techniques
• The Servers must be positive at all times, be self-motivated and self-managing, efficient in time management and decision-making. 
• Position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk. Lifting and carrying items up to 10 pounds is necessary and lifting up to 25 pounds is required occasionally.
