Restaurant General Manager

We are a luxury AAA Four Diamond Property located in The Villages, FL and are searching for an experienced General to Manager to lead the restaurant operations for Wolfgang Puck Kitchen + Bar. Scope of Responsibilities Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, the General Manager of Wolfgang Puck Kitchen + Bar provides day-to-day responsibilities for the operations of the restaurant, manages revenue growth and controllable expenses, manages daily execution of the menu, conducts weekly planning meeting with front and back of house management, and follows direction of the Director of Food & Beverage while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Business Management Responsible for the successful day to day operations of the restaurant including Wolfgang Puck food and service quality standards, revenue growth and controllable expenses managed at or below budget Manage the daily execution of menu and lead the staff during primary business day parts Conduct weekly planning meeting with front and back of house management. Prioritize management responsibilities Set an example of professionalism and mature leadership for the restaurant and in the community Execute daily and consistently the Wolfgang Puck recipes provided to your location Able to perform every line staff function BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Together with Food & Beverage Director, develop and execute annual local marketing plan with specific weekly and monthly action steps. Establish and develop working contacts and relationships with VIP’s, regular guests and local businesses Maintain community involvement within local schools, churches, youth sponsorships, non-profit organizations and culinary arts etc. Follow up on all private functions and large to go orders with personal calls, emails or notes to build continuing relationships. Communicate with Wolfgang Puck Worldwide with any requests for changes to maintain brand consistency. MANAGEMENT & STAFF DEVELOPMENT Performance and development goals set for all management and staff members commensurate with job responsibilities and for personal growth within the company Deliver regular and direct feedback on job performance Develop managers and/or Key hourly employees Assist in staff and management training and refinement daily Work with quality auditor on action plans as they may arise to improve quality audit scores PRIME & CONTROLLABLE COST MANAGEMENT Maintain Cost of Goods at or below targeted percentage through the use of food, beverage and operating expense control systems (e.g. proper use of inventory management system, budgets, insure proper use of prep and waste work sheets and proper inventories etc.). Accurately forecast sales and proactively budgets labor and spending accordingly using the Daily Operating Report required by location Labor hours per position, labor percentage and overtime are managed according to each store’s staffing models/guidelines for business demands and within labor budget. Labor is managed shift by shift Overtime is optimized and minimized for busiest day parts and/or occasions All training costs are within budget Manage all operating expenses at or below budgeted levels Insure that all purchases for goods and services are processed via purchase order Inspect invoices for accuracy and help hold vendors accountable to service standards. Investigate all variances from purchase orders to invoices and communicate to Accounting office. Investigate vendor options to lower costs/improve services and communicates to Office/Director Understand all restaurant technology and operating systems. Manage issues accordingly FACILITY MAINTENANCE Insure that restaurant meets all local, state and government fire, health codes etc. Insure proper and thorough daily maintenance to keep the restaurant running at optimal levels and to prevent the need for “catastrophic” repairs and/or injury Daily cleanliness projects for all departments are clearly defined, executed and inspected Understand and embody the Wolfgang Puck brand of hospitality Know the “Well (Wolfgang Puck Eat, Love, Live) Program” and provide knowledge to guests and to support to staff BENEFITS & PERKS Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid recognized Holidays Health & Wellness benefits Medical/Vision/Dental/401(K) Prescription HSA/FSA Options EAP Elementary Charter School program The Villages Passport Discount Card Rewards and recognition programs (we appreciate all that you do). Qualifications Strong financial management skills, including P&L Management and Budgeting, with the ability to meet revenue and cost-control targets. Demonstrated commitment to Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with experience improving guest experiences and handling feedback. Proven Hiring and team leadership skills, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management. Previous experience as a restaurant or hospitality manager in a high-volume, upscale environment. Knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and best practices in restaurant operations. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across hotel departments. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
