Step into an opportunity making a real difference for students as a Paraprofessional in a supportive educational environment near Rochester, NH. Multiple positions are available for engaging contract roles spanning both 1:1 student support and classroom assistance. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators to nurture students' academic and social growth throughout the school year.
Candidates with prior school-based experience will find their knowledge valued, but the district welcomes professionals who can demonstrate compassion, patience, and adaptability. All that’s required to apply is proof of a high school diploma; no additional certifications or higher education are necessary.
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma (required)
- Previous experience in school settings or similar environments preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with students, teachers, and fellow staff
- Three completed professional references, including your most recent manager
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individual students or within the classroom as assigned
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all learners
- Assist with instructional activities and individualized education plans
- Monitor student behavior and provide encouragement and redirection as needed
- Support daily classroom operations under the supervision of certified teachers
These contract positions run from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, offering a steady, meaningful schedule. Middle School hours are 7:10 AM–2:10 PM and High School hours are 7:30 AM–2:30 PM, each with a half-hour unpaid lunch.
