As a full-time Senior Product Manager in the Product Management Department at Aalberts, you will be a strategic and execution-focused leader responsible for driving the lifecycle of a defined product portfolio, including valves, fittings, and connection technologies. This role blends market insight, customer feedback, and cross-functional collaboration to define product strategies, lead new product development (NPD), and optimize portfolio performance. The Senior Product Manager will play a key role in shaping the future of our product offerings and driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

your challenge

• Define and execute multi-year product strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.
\n
• Lead the development of product roadmaps and innovation pipelines, incorporating Voice of Customer (VoC) insights and competitive analysis.
\n
• Champion the Product Lifecycle Strategy (PLS), including ideation, development, launch, and end-of-life decisions.
\n
• Drive the stage-gate process for new product development, ensuring timely execution, budget adherence, and milestone achievement.
\n
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing to develop scalable, market-driven solutions.
\n
• Identify unmet customer needs and emerging technologies to inform future product concepts.
\n
• Evaluate market dynamics, customer feedback, and competitive positioning to refine product offerings.
\n
• Rationalize underperforming SKUs and reduce portfolio complexity.
\n
• Develop and manage pricing strategies using value-based pricing and Total Addressable Market (TAM) analysis.
\n
• Partner with sales, marketing, and operations to ensure successful product launches and sustained market performance.
\n
• Provide product training and support to sales teams.
\n
• Regularly report on product performance, development milestones, and market trends to senior leadership.
\n
• Track and report key metrics such as revenue growth, profitability, and Product Vitality Index (revenue from new products within the last 5 years).
\n
• Foster a culture of innovation and smart risk-taking across teams.
\n
• Mentor and coach new and junior product managers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring alignment with company standards and strategic goals.
\n
• Share best practices, provide guidance on product management methodologies, and support onboarding and development initiatives.
\n
• Complete additional duties as assigned by your manager.

requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field (MBA preferred).
\n
• 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally within industrial or manufacturing sectors.
\n
• Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex product portfolios.
\n
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
\n
• Experience with ERP, CRM, PIM, and Power BI systems.
\n
• Familiarity with agile and stage-gate development frameworks.
\n

The salaried rate for this role is fair and decided upon based on experience and proven skills alignment through our interview process. This role includes an annual bonus component.
