Job Title: EHS Specialist Job Description

The EHS Specialist will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team in maintaining a safe and compliant manufacturing environment. This role involves assisting with safety programs, training activities, inspections, and compliance efforts while collaborating closely with operations and engineering teams. The position offers an opportunity to develop knowledge of workplace safety practices, OSHA requirements, and EHS management systems.

• Assist with Safety Committee meetings and related follow-up activities.
• Support the review and maintenance of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and documentation.
• Help coordinate and track employee safety training to support OSHA compliance.
• Participate in workplace inspections and compliance audits.
• Assist with incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and documentation.
• Help identify workplace safety hazards and support efforts to reduce risk.
• Assist in maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Support hazard assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Partner with team members to promote a positive safety culture throughout the facility.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in risk assessments and recommend improvements where appropriate.
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety standards and applicable regulations.

• Safety and Health knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Understanding of OSHA regulations
• Experience in manufacturing
• Data entry skills

• 1+ years of experience supporting EHS functions
• Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety or a related field

The EHS Specialist will work on-site in Janesville, WI, collaborating directly with the EHS Manager and Specialist. The company offers a collaborative environment with flexible work schedules. The facility has recently expanded to 500,000 sq ft due to increased demand, with more expansions planned in various locations.

This is a Contract position based out of Janesville, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
