RN - ER Profession: Nurse Specialty: Agency Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse (RN) - State License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills Time management and organizational skills Self-directed and capable of making quality independent decisions Analytical and strong problem-solving skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Competency in the use of a variety of computer hardware and software systems Description:Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as defined by professional standards.Demonstrates competency using the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Upholds standards of professional performance including ethical practice and quality of practice.Communicates and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.Acts as a patient and family advocate.Performs point of care testing as required.Formulates decisions based on ethical principles.Advocates for privacy and confidentiality of patient and staff data.Assesses overall needs of patients and analyzes assessment data to identify diagnoses or issues.Identifies expected outcomes and develops individualized care plans.Evaluates patient education needs and employs appropriate teaching strategies.Initiates discharge planning at the time of patient contact.Ensures documentation is performed accurately and in a timely manner.Assumes leadership roles and delegates appropriately to support patient care.Engages in activities to advance knowledge and competence in nursing practice.Participates in safety initiatives and completes all safety-related requirements.Performs other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
