Job OpportunityThis position involves operating medical imaging equipment that utilizes high-frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes. The role includes selecting appropriate settings and guiding patients into positions that yield optimal imaging for radiological interpretation. The successful candidate will obtain high-quality images while demonstrating a general understanding of the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) and documenting patient care services accurately.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for ultrasound examinations and other special procedures as directed.Consult with radiologists for exam reviews prior to patient discharge.Provide ultrasound guidance for attending physicians during special procedures.Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and notify Clinical Engineering as necessary.Ensure clinical history is appropriate and verify orders and patient identification using established identifiers.Demonstrate proficiency in using ultrasound units and probes to obtain adequate imaging of requested anatomy.Correctly label body parts and viewing planes for imaging purposes.Utilize PACS efficiently and send images as required after hours.Show competence in the EPIC system.Perform high-level disinfection of endocavity probes in accordance with policy.Maintain accurate patient records for all procedures and uphold patient confidentiality in adherence with HIPAA standards.Qualifications and CompetenciesAble to interact compassionately and effectively with patients who are sick or injured.Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality medical imaging aiding in the diagnosis of diseases and disorders.Knowledgeable in the operations of ultrasound equipment and specialized computerized imaging systems.Core ValuesThe organization is committed to:Compassion: Respecting and caring for all, honoring the dignity of each person, particularly the vulnerable.Integrity: Promoting ethical behavior and responsibly managing resources.Collaboration: Working in partnership to foster healthy communities.Excellence: Delivering services with the highest quality and seeking innovative solutions.LocationCity, State
