Assembler 2, Full-TimeReports to: Assembly LeaderLocation: DMG MORI Manufacturing, Davis, CAHours: Monday through FridayClassification: Non-ExemptTravel: 0%Employment is conditioned on DMG MORI's ability to obtain and maintain any necessary export licensingAssemblers are tasked to precisely assemble mechanical units and fabricated parts at floor stations or benches. These assemblies vary in size from small to relatively large or heavy subassemblies. Responsibilities include up to and are not limited to:Fitting, aligning, calibrating and adjusting parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirementsAssemble parts and components to produce finished assembliesRepairing units, structures and products that fail to meet requirementsCheck and adjust accuracy using dial gauges, test bars and other equipmentUse grinding machines as necessary during assemblyEnsure the quality and delivery of assembly processesFollow assembly manuals and check sheets to ensure proper steps are taken during assemblyWork as a team member, reporting to a Leader on assembly statusCommunicate clearly and effectivelyMaintain a clean and organized work areaCan adjust to changes that occur during productionClean/wipe down machines after certain steps in productionAbility to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects, and work in various environmental conditionsAbility to work OT as required to meet production goalsExtensive experience with hand and power toolsOther duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent3+ years of relevant work experienceAbility to assemble sheet metal covers, plumbing, motion components, cast structuresAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to safely operate an overhead craneFundamental computer operation skillsPreferred requirement – certified operate a forkliftWork Environment: Climate controlled manufacturing environment (assembly, machining, quality control facility) at DMG MORI Manufacturing. Exposure to possible hazards may include noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.Physical Demands: Frequent: standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.
