Project Manager

The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for managing and building projects and project teams of small to large size with budgetary responsibility. She/he will take the lead on multiple simultaneous projects as well as the planning, coordination, problem solving, task assignments, schedule monitoring, escalation, and status gathering. The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong technical background with Microsoft technologies and highly proficient in professional project management methodologies managing project expectations, scope, risk, and changes.

Work with team leads, functional managers, and project support staff (Architects, DBA's, etc.) to create, maintain, and manage the project schedule
Establish, manage, and control project scope through a structured scope management process
Project administration including forecasting setup and tracking, project financials, and time and expense reconciliation
Build strong teams; planning for and acquiring team resource needs; making the most effective use of people involved with the project.
This entails day-to-day team management, team communication, identifying and leveraging strong skills while developing others
Project Communication; ensuring timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, and storage of project information.
Preparing project status report and keeping upper management, business clients and others informed of project status and related issues

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree required ;
PMP certification a plus
8+ years of experience in Project Management
Understanding of software development methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, etc.
Strong planning and estimating skills and cost management across all phases of the project lifecycle
Experience using planning and estimation software such as Microsoft Project and SharePoint
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with multiple teams, delegating work load and ensuring team efficiency
Must be able to identify, access and resolve complex business problems/issues/risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation
Ability to work with business users, understand their needs, and translate such into final project deliverables
Ability to work with technical resources, understand their needs and coordinate their efforts to deliver the final project solution
Function as a leader throughout the project lifecycle
