Inventory Management Role

In this role you will conduct cycle counts, thorough investigation and reconciliation of inventory variances, and post cycle counts. Determine root cause issues for inventory discrepancies and communicate / participate in corrective actions. Coordinate and communicate with other shifts to maintain inventory accuracy. Responsible for monitoring progress towards weekly / monthly count requirements and proactively communicate with leadership to ensure goals are met. Participates actively as a team member through lean activities / continuous improvement processes to improve inventory accuracy. Coordinate inventory audits with finance / auditors. Perform 3rd party cycle counts remotely from Dayton.

Ideal Candidate Has

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• 1+ years' experience in warehouse or distribution setting
• Proficiency with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and the Internet
• Forklift experience preferred
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.
• Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Skill in communicating effectively through oral and written communications.
• Ability to identify and support continuous improvement.
• Ability to sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Ability to function in a high stress, high pressure environment, with a positive attitude.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems with unique solutions.
• Ability to effectively organize and plan workload and work in a self-directed manner
• Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships across functional areas

Shift is Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM

Benefits to support the lives of our employees. Pay Transparency nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range: $17.20 - $31.90 Per Hour Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
