Work Environment\n

This full-time position is remote, offering flexibility while maintaining a close-knit, team-oriented approach. Our outpatient office facilitates teletherapy services, providing state-of-the-art technological solutions that enable therapists to connect with clients from the comfort of their homes. The work schedule typically runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis to better meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, focusing on severity, frequency, and duration.

• Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, ensuring that their specific needs and personal goals are addressed effectively.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients’ recovery journeys.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices, promoting informed participation in their treatment.

• Monitor client progress through detailed documentation and regular check-ins, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary based on clinical observations and client feedback.

• Work in synergy with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver cohesive, multidisciplinary care to clients, ensuring all aspects of their wellbeing are considered.

• Remain informed about the latest research and practices in treating mood disorders to enrich session content and improve client outcomes.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with healthcare regulations, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and clinical meetings to harmonize care approaches and share knowledge within the treatment team.

• Serve as a dedicated advocate for clients, aiming to de-stigmatize mental health challenges and promote awareness within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with individuals dealing with mood disorders – including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Clients within our care come from varied backgrounds and may have unique factors contributing to their mental health challenges. The incumbent will be essential in providing tailored support to each individual, addressing their specific situations and fostering their recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience directly related to the treatment of mood disorders.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, such as CBT and DBT.

• Knowledge of psychopharmacology to ensure effective collaboration with medical professionals regarding client care.

• A proven history of achieving positive outcomes when treating patients with mood disorders.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
