The unit follows AWHONN staffing guidelines to support safe, high-quality patient care while providing the opportunity to work alongside an experienced and dedicated team.AWHONN Staffing Guidelines with 1:1 Active Labor Ratios6 Labor & Delivery Rooms, 2 OR Suites, and 2 Triage RoomsCollaborative Team Culture Focused on Exceptional Maternal CareHow you'll contributeA Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needsIdentifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventionsProvides care appropriate to condition and age of the patientPerforms timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical recordResponsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patientPerforms timely and accurate QI assessmentsWhat we're looking forApplicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and FHN- AWHONN required.At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.3 to 5 years of LDRP experience preferred.Trained in Mother/Baby preferred.Why join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
