Job Title Cath Lab Technologist Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment in Carmel, Indiana. This role is integral to a dynamic cardiac catheterization laboratory team, where you will assist physicians with a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating advanced imaging equipment, meticulously monitoring patient hemodynamics, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety. Key Responsibilities Assist cardiologists and vascular surgeons during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures. Operate and maintain fluoroscopic and angiographic imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and radiation safety protocols are followed. Monitor patient vital signs, EKG, and hemodynamic parameters throughout procedures, promptly recognizing and reporting any changes. Prepare and maintain sterile fields, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Administer contrast media and other medications as directed by the physician and within the scope of practice. Accurately document all procedural details, patient data, and supply usage in the electronic health record system. Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care and education, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other technologists, to ensure seamless patient care. Required Qualifications Active certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT‑R). Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience as a Cath Lab Technologist. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in assisting with cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures. Expertise in operating fluoroscopy and angiography systems. Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and EKG interpretation. Demonstrated mastery of aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance. Ability to respond effectively and calmly in emergency situations. Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
