Cath Lab Tech Location: Tyler, TX Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $1,589 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position AlliedTravelCareers is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified Cath Lab Tech in Tyler, Texas, 75701. ID: 76710407 Shift: 06:00-19:30 Description: RATE: $65 SHIFT: SAT-MON 6A-7:30P. Must have Excellent Transfusion Service (Blood Banking) skills. Responsibilities Perform all routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing, handling, and testing. Calculate, enter, and verify test results. Execute quality control procedures and maintain instrumentation and equipment. Assist in the development of new procedures and protocols. May perform phlebotomy and other patient-oriented tasks. Collaborate with other laboratory sections as cross‑training is required. Ensure compliance with the laboratory’s quality control program and provide documentation of critical values. Operate the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and report results. Adhere to CHRISTUS Health’s CORE values and OneChRISTUS Competencies. Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of testing procedures. Demonstrate competence in patient care responsibilities that meet the developmental needs of patients served. Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and developmental needs. Complete all required compliance and regulatory tasks and follow applicable policies and procedures. Qualifications Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution. Equivalent education evaluated by an acceptable credentialing agency (equal to a U.S. bachelor’s degree). No experience required for graduates of an approved clinical laboratory training program; one year of approved clinical laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids. Certification in MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS, with certification kept current. Board Certified or eligible new graduate with board certification to be completed within one year of hire (except Louisiana). Excellent Transfusion Service (Blood Banking) skills required; SBB certification not preferred. Work Monday 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Shift Information).
