Barback - Part-Time

The Residence Inn/SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Downtown Greenville is seeking a barback for Oak & Honey. The purpose of this position is to be responsible for assisting our bartenders with service to keep the bar operational at all times. A high-energy, can-do, friendly attitude is a must.

Essential job functions include:

• Restock liquor, mixers, and garnishes behind the bar.
• Perform bussing responsibilities such as clearing empty cups and trash from bar top and tables.
• Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of bar (wipe surfaces, move chairs, arrange menus, etc.)
• Perform frequent restroom checks for quality control.
• Perform clean-ups of spills or other customer accidents as needed.
• Ensure bartenders are equipped with clean rags at bartending stations and clean cups in front of house.
• Clean cups and dishes in back of house; adhere to dish-washing procedures.
• Check and re-stock ice bins.
• Assist bartenders with back of house liquor inventory.
• Follow all opening, closing, and key-holding procedures during each shift.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by smiling and answering questions.

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform well under pressure
• Detail-oriented, organized, cleanly
• Must be able to lift 30+ lbs
• Must be flexible (able to work late shifts, weekends, and/or holidays)

Experience/Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in barback or bussing preferred
