Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in Fort Wayne. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive and reactive maintenance on a variety of equipment, including conveyors, palletizing machines, bag sealers, filler machines, blow molds, and mixing machines. You will also handle maintenance tasks involving label printers, pipes, valves, forklifts, and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Work on conveyors, palletizing/wrapping machines, bag sealers, filler machines, blow molds, and mixing machines.
• Maintain and repair label printers, pipes, valves, forklifts, and facilities.
• Complete tasks with a focus on 40% electrical and 60% mechanical work.
• Be responsible for on-call duties on Sundays, with scheduled rotation among the team.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, including 480-v and 3-phase motors.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Conveyor (VFD) experience.
• Ownership of personal tooling, including hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Food and beverage industry experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This role operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm , with overtime as needed. The position involves both mechanical and electrical tasks, requiring a balance of skills in a manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
