Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Intake Specialist in Indianapolis IN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location you will conduct screening activities monitor access points and help identify potential security-related concerns. You will use technology to support screening operations maintain a professional presence and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel visitors and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals personal property packages and/or shipments in accordance with applicable procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials authorizations and delivery documentation before permitting access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas loading docks access points and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
