About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – 12-Hour Nights

Location

Spokane Valley, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all departments within a 123-bed community hospital, including medical/surgical, critical care, and emergency settings
• Manage and monitor patients on ventilators (Getinge Servo-u), BiPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Care for a primarily adult and geriatric patient population, with potential exposure to pediatric and infant patients including Bubble CPAP management
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with the RT team across departments, covering all areas within the facility as assigned each shift
• Participate in an every-other-weekend rotation; holiday expectations are unit dependent

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active Washington State Respiratory Therapist license required
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications all required
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Proficiency with ventilators, BiPAP, HFNC, and general respiratory equipment
• Experience with EPIC EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a nursery or neonatal care setting
• Critical care background with exposure to high-acuity patient populations
• Comfort working in a smaller community hospital environment with cross-departmental coverage responsibilities
