We are currently sourcing for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to work in Boston, MA!The RoleFidelity Digital Assets, a Fidelity Investments Company, is developing a full-service enterprise-grade platform for storing, trading and servicing digital assets, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Our goal in Core Custody product area is to design and build a suite of digital asset services and investment applications to serve the unique and varying needs of our institutional and retail investors.As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring product quality across our digital asset platform. Working closely with engineers, product owners, and architects, you will design and implement automated testing solutions, working towards our testing frameworks, and help drive quality throughout the development lifecycle. You’ll have opportunities to deepen your technical skills, collaborate across teams, and grow within a fast paced and innovative environment.The Expertise You Have* Strong experience with test automation using languages such as Java, and frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, JUnit, or Spring Boot Test* Proficiency in databases, SQL, data validation, and understanding how to test data workflows* Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms, and containerization technologies such as Docker or ECS* Experience building and maintaining end-to-end and integration tests across distributed or microservice-based systems* Experience working with version control systems like GIT* Proven understanding of Agile development processes and continuous integration/continuous deployment practices* Experience with AI-assisted test generation to improve automation coverage and efficiency would be a plusThe Skills You Bring* A proven foundation in software engineering or test automation – bachelor’s degree + preferred, 5 years’ experience* Ability to advocate for quality and influence peers through collaboration and technical reasoning* Strong communication skills and ability to articulate test approaches to engineers, product partners, and leadership* Experience with requirements review, defect analysis, working with distributed teams, and assisting test reporting* Analytical approach with the ability to diagnose issues and perform root-cause analysis* Adaptability, eagerness to learn new tools and internal platforms, and dedication to delivering high-quality solutionsThe Value You Deliver* Partner with developers and business stakeholders to embed quality into the team’s workflow* Analyze requirements and identify potential risks early* Implement efficient automated test coverage for each story’s “definition of done”* Mentor engineers on testing practices* Adopt and leverage existing testing solutions* Work towards the continuous evolution of test strategies across product teamsPlease see the below pay rate range for the work location of Massachusetts only: $60.00-$85.00 per hour.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.Please be advised that Fidelity’s business is governed by the provisions of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, ERISA, numerous state laws governing securities, investment and retirement-related financial activities and the rules and regulations of numerous self-regulatory organizations, including FINRA, among others.
