Job Description:

Exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment providing specialized patient care to adult inpatient and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures (biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures). This role includes preparing patients, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery including PACU and extended stay (23-hour). IR is an essential part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients. This role requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The IR RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Monitor patients intra-procedure and provide post-procedure recovery care.
• Participate in PACU and extended stay care management.
• Serve as a part of the critical embolization response team for trauma cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient-centered care delivery.

Requirements:

• BLS (AHA ONLY)
• ACLS (AHA ONLY)
• Telemetry Experience Required
• 1 year of recent IR experience
• NYS RN License
• Two (2) years experience
