Job Summary:

The Managed Repair Large Loss Specialist is responsible for managing reconstruction, fire mitigation, restoration, and property repair assignments throughout the claim lifecycle. This role specializes in the handling of large-loss and complex property claims, including losses exceeding $50,000, while also managing reconstruction and mitigation assignments across a broad range of severities and claim values. The Specialist serves as the primary point of contact between insureds, contractors, and carrier partners, ensuring timely file progression, effective communication, quality outcomes and adherence to service-level expectations. Utilizing property restoration expertise and claims knowledge, the specialist identifies barriers, drives resolution, and supports exceptional customer and partner experiences. 

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage communication and coordination related to assigned files, determine appropriate next steps, and maintain a high level of professionalism, service, and problem-solving throughout the repair process. 
• Manage reconstruction, fire mitigation, restoration, and property restoration assignments of varying complexity and claim value, with specialized responsibility for large-loss and complex claims, including losses exceeding $50,000. 
• Serve as the primary contact for the insured, vendor, and carrier throughout the repair process. 
• Coordinate repair activity from initial assignment through completion, ensuring timely updates, documentation, and follow-through. 
• Monitor file progress, aging, open tasks, response timelines, and service-level agreement (SLA) requirements to maintain file momentum, reduce delays, and ensure compliance with quality standards and business guidelines. 
• Review scopes, estimates, invoices, and repair documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with program standards. 
• Collaborate with contractors, project managers, carrier partners, and internal teams to identify, evaluate, and resolve file barriers, delays, service concerns, documentation gaps, scope discrepancies, scheduling conflicts, quality issues, and SLA risks. 
• Provide timely and professional communication through phone, email, system documentation, and other required business channels regarding file status, documentation requests, estimate reviews, scheduling, repair progress, customer concerns, and next steps. 
• Apply knowledge of restoration, reconstruction, mitigation, and property claims processes to support effective file management and successful claim outcomes. 
• Identify opportunities to improve file handling, communication, customer experience, and repair process efficiency. 
• Maintain strong working relationships with insureds, vendors, carrier partners, coworkers, and leadership. 
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 
• Active insurance adjuster license(s) with a minimum of three years of applied experience in property restoration, reconstruction, mitigation, or property claims preferred. 
• Experience managing reconstruction, mitigation, restoration, or property repair files, preferably complex and large loss assignments. 
• Strong understanding of property restoration and repair processes, contractor coordination, estimating, invoicing, claim documentation, and file management 
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with insureds, vendors, carrier partners, and internal teams. 
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, organization, and follow-up skills. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems used for documentation, communication, and file management. 
• Xactimate and XactAnalysis experience preferred. 
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, catastrophe events, and other high-volume operating periods, as required.
